Do you like werewolves? Do you eagerly tune in to watch True Blood each week because you love Alcide? Do you think it’s just awesome when he changes into a beast? (Or changes back into the form of a man and–whoops–his clothes are gone?) Do you remember the old Howling movies? The ones that showed us that werewolves can be horrible monsters that destory all those who are unlucky enough to get near them?
Werewolves…they can sexy or they can be scary. And, sometimes, I think they can be both.
My contribution to the HOWL FOR IT anthology is a story called, “Wed or Dead.” In this story, my hero is a werewolf. (Right, you saw that coming, didn’t you?) I wanted him to be sexy, but I also wanted Gage to have a rough, dangerous edge. When I think about werewolves, I always enjoy that rough edge that comes with them. Werewolves aren’t controlled. They’re men, but they’re also beasts. And, at any moment, that beast side may just break through the man’s control.
One of my favorite werewolf movies is Cursed with Joshua Jackson. In this movie, (spoiler!!!! Don’t read ahead if you want to watch the movie!), Joshua plays a character that is both sexy and scary. Sure, his scary side may take over at times, but I love the mix that is shown in his character.
Sexy.
Scary.
Both?

I watch True Blood for Alcide & Eric. I love my werewolves right before & after they change because they are mostly naked. lol I also like them to be alphas and very protective.

When I think werewolf, I think Alcide from True Blood. So, I like ‘em like that.
I love that werewolves are big, bad and tough but when it comes to their mates they’re like marshmallows. Definitely one of the most alpha like males.

I do watch True Blood in hope of seeing Alcide or Joe. I do love when he changes, he is a beautiful wolf, but he also has a very nice ass. Love seeing a half-way naked Joe. I love the character is the book more than the show, especially this season. I don’t think he has the great of a part this season. I love your series with vamps and wolves. Those are great. I also love Jason and Richard from the Laurell K Hamilton Anita Blake books. Those are my favorite wolves. I do enjoy the movies about them, but hate when they make them crazy and killing everyone. I like them when they make them sexy and civil. I also like the new series by Carrie Ann Ryan, the Redwood Pack. Those are great, a definate recommend for wolf lovers. Love your books and this one is definately on my must read list. Love Shelly’s stories also.

I think werewolves are sexy. They are strong ,protective of their families and usually have that all important sense of humour.
Definitely both, sexy and scary. My favorite werewolf is Charles Cornick from Patricia Briggs Alpha and Omega series. He is soooo both!
I love werewolves. I love how they get all growly and alpha and “mine” when they are around their mate. I love that their possessiveness extends to the entire pack. Just like the previous poster, Charles from Alpha/Omega is probably my perfect werewolf (although Adam, Bran and Samuel are not far behind, LOL).
Am one of the few that has no interest in True Blood. It failed to capture me.
Mm, what about Lucian in the Underworld series? Though I believe I have seen one or two of the Howling series. LOL! Their were wolves are bad ass! Then in Ginger Snaps
I think they’re both, sexy and scary because they’re strong enough to take care of you no matter what the situation calls for and then you just never know if they’ll snap and hurt you.

Definitely watch True Blood for Alcide. I love that werewolves are powerful and can be intimidating but are gentle and protective with their mate.

I love my werewolves tough around the edges but with a bit of a soft side (not too much though). They have to temper all of that delicious strength and wildness with a little understanding.
I think they can be both but only when necessary. I’d hate to get on the wrong side a were when he’s protecting his mate but would love to be said mate lol.

I like all kinds of werewolves. The tough, the sweet…but my all time favorite is a sexy, tough but lovable werewolf!!! The ones you can go from talking to fighting to making up. Yum!

I like my werewolves more sexy and loveable then dangerous. But I dont mind if they’re slightly dangerous. Just not overly violent, ripping people to shreads. I dont like that. Dying to read Howl For It! So excited!!
Sexy or scary? I would have to say a little of both does me just fine. My perfect werewolf is Adam from the Mercy Thompson series. He is uber sexy, and at times a little scary…and it just makes him all the more sexy.

In a book, I like the wolf to be dangerous, but as a man the exact opposite. I like when the man meets his love and puts her in danger as a wolf but their love overcomes his dangerous side.
I like my werewolves a little rough a round the edges, you know a little scruff on them. They are after all beasts. They have to be super alpha and protective. Yum!

I like my werewolves both sexy and scary. the sexy ones r hott but with a bit scary is gud for the enemeis. I especially like it when they r in charge of their mates and the possesiveness they have towards thier mates.

I like for werewolves to be a bit scary and a lot sexy! Having both traits can make things more interesting. I also like them to be on the alpha side, protective and loyal to those they care for.
I like them to be sexy but not completely scary. I just want them to be intense and a bit mysterious.
I like my werewolves sexy to me and scary to anyone they need to protect me from.

I love werewolves because of their possessiveness. They have very alpha male personalities. They do not share and they are always faithful to their mates. It takes them a little while to come around, but when they do… it is hot!!!
