I love Brava books. Love them. Long before I started writing for Brava, I was a Brava reader. I got hooked by Shanna McKenna–oh, she pulled me in her wicked, wicked web of wonder. (I’m still addicted to her stories, just so you know…)
I loved Brava stories. They’re sexy and suspenseful, wild and exciting. I can’t get enough of them.
But in addition to the suspenseful reads (which I always enjoy), I also found some hilarious Brava books that hooked me early on. Erin McCarthy wrote some books that were so funny, they made me cry. My husband always looks at me like I’m crazy when I do my cry/laugh routine as I read.
But what about you? Do you have any favorite Bravas that you’d like to share with me? Maybe some oldies and always goodies? Perhaps we have some of the same favorites on our shelves!
Have a great Wednesday.

ANGEL OF DARKNESS–Available now from Kensington Brava
When an angel falls for a vampire, all hell breaks loose…

Hi Cynthia,
I also love Shanna McKenna’s books. Anything with your name on it is an auto buy (haven’t read a bad one yet!!) Dani Harper’s books are awesome, Tessa Dare is a good one, love those dragons! I’m also a big fan of Karen Kelley’s books, lots of humor in them. That;s all I can think of off the top of my head.
Thank you, Martha! You’ve just made my day.
And you have just listed some of my faves, too!
Until recently I never paid to much attention to who published the books I read. I do have to say that several of my auto-buy authors are Brava authors, Sylvia, Day, Emma Lang, Beth Williamson, Shelly Laurensten are just a few.
I love all of those authors, Heather! Thanks for coming by and sharing.
Well, the first two to come to mind are Jill Shalvis’s Wilder series, and then HelenKay Dimon’s Hawaii series. I do have the first cupcake one by Donna Kauffman here, just have no read it yet… might wait until I get all three.
Anyway, I do know there are others, I just can’t think of any right now…
Lois
Sounds like you are a contemporary fan, Lois. I’ve got a Jill Shalvis book in my TBR pile right now (and I recently finished another great HelenKay book!).
Brava’s are what really got me hooked on romance. When I first discovered them with a Lori Foster Bad Boys anthology, I scoured the library for that iconic “B” on the spine and would take home whatever books I could find. Thankfully they had a lot of them
Like you said I found Shannon McKenna, the first author to really turn me on to Romantic Suspense stories, Erin McCarthy (Mouth to Mouth remains an all time fav). Lucy Monroe, whom I followed to Harlequin which I had never read before…and let’s not forget Jill Shalvis!
All of these authors remain favorites! Brava will always have a special place in my heart. Because of it I have found new to me authors Maggie Robinson, Mia Marlowe, Bronwen Evans…really too many to count.
I LOVE Mouth to Mouth!!! Erin McCarthy’s funny Bravas hooked me so quickly. Thanks for sharing your faves with me!
Hey, Cynthia!!
I’m like you ~ I love Shannon McKenna, and I love Shelly Laurenston, Erin McCarthy, Dani Harper is a newly added love, and OMG, I love your Othes…oh, man, Lori Foster, Sylvia Day, Helen Kay Daimon, Lucy Monroe…I’ve gotten hooked on so many Brava authors over the years!
Hey Cynthia! You were kind enough to introduce me to Lexi George last year and her book, Demon Hunting in Dixie, was hilarious!! I can’t wait for her next book.
