My upbringing as a city kid may be why I gripe about the deer, the wild turkeys, the coyotes, the squirrels, the red-headed woodpeckers, the crows, etc.. Hey, I'm not a total animal hater; I like the turkey vultures, the quail, and the Steller's Jays. I grew up in NYC (and on Juniors cheesecake!), but I live in the exurbs now.
