Well, it’s September. Summer is over. I thought maybe a couple of pictures would best show how I spent my summer. First, there was writing. Many hours spent writing Tempted, which is a novella in the Dark Protectors Series to be released in e-format next April. Tempted is about Max. He’s little Janie’s bodyguard and it was so much fun to discover more about him. The guy is Russian and has a great sense of humor. Here’s the cover for Tempted. Hot, right?
Besides writing, there was some lake time. Okay. I may have brought my laptop along. But have you ever written by the lake? It’s awesome. And when you get a night that’s quiet and dark…with the full moon just rising over the nearest trees…yeah. Serious writing time.
I went to New York for the RWA conference and signed books at the Kensington book signing. It was wonderful! I also spent many hours at sporting events. Kid’s softball tournaments, lacrosse tournaments, and three-on-three basketball tournaments. And of course, we went camping. Though, well, we don’t exactly rough it. There are campers with A/C, movie nights and flat screen tv’s. One of our friends is even a gourmet cook. So yeah, we eat better up camping than at home.
Summer was wonderful and went too quickly.
But nights are getting longer and darker…Fall is here.
Time for the creatures to come out of hiding.
Goodbye, Summer.
See you next year.

Say it isn’t so! Summer can’t be gone…though from the weather reports coming in, I think you’re right.
Glad you had a good one!
Summer is still raging in Arizona….we have another month or so before we can break out our patio furniture and enjoy the weather outside. But in a sense, I see summer passing away, too, as I read about everyone heading back to school or their kids heading back.
Enjoy your time away and have a safe & happy Labor Day Weekend!
Woohoo! I’m not the biggest fan of summer. so SEE YA! lol.
I love the storms though. Gotta love lightning!
The storms are awesome! I love summer, but I gotta admit I’m relieved that the kids will be going back to school and the busy barbecues will cease for a few months so I can get some writing done.
Summer is still going strong here in Florida. I can’t wait till it starts to cool down some.
It’s been cloudy and rainy and yes the temperature is going down at night; we turned of the AC. It is the end of summer!
We’ve had a lovely summer here in New England, not too hot and rarely humid. (At least, not by our standards. We’ve summered in the Southeast and the Ozarks several years. New Englanders may complain of high temps and humidity, but they haven’t experienced the real thing.
)
My summer won’t be officially over till I go to Minnesota in October for a mini-reunion.
