I’m really excited – I FINALLY finished putting together a video for my new Changeling series! It was a lot of work (read weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth) but also a lot of fun (well, the chocolate I soothed my frayed nerves with was pretty good … and the trailer is much more fun now that it’s all done, LOL!).
My goal was to tell the basic background story of my Changeling world, condensed into as few words as possible. The hardest part was finding just the right pictures. I hope my readers and would-be readers will enjoy the finished product. Click on the link below to view:
In other news, Changeling Moon and Changeling Dream are out. I’m looking forward to the release of Changeling Dawn on January 1st. For me, it’s a great way to kick off 2012 — being able to finally share this story with my readers. I feel it ‘s the best one yet!

I actually really like book trailers. Perhaps even more than just reading a synopsis on what the story is about. It can give the story a more dramatic flair with the music and graphics that are used, so you really get your point of what the story is about across to the reader. It gives me something more to visualize while I’m reading the story. Yours is very well done!!!

Thanks Yadira – I agree. I’ve seen some very good trailers that give me the feeling of what the book is about, and sometimes that’s more important to me as a reader than a blurb.
I enjoy trailers but mostly I love blurbs!
Hi Diane – I find I enjoy trailers very much, but when I’m actually shopping for books, I like the blurbs. Trailers are usually icing on the cake.
I love a good trailer. It gets me excited to read more about the story. I want it to build the excitement of the story with the music and to let me know what the book is about. Hey i think that may have been the first book trailer ive ever seen and dang it was cool.. if i had to choose between a trailer and an excerpt (whyyyyy why do we have to CHOOSE?? *wails dramatically for a moment* ), i would choose the excerpt.. with the trailer for dessert.. yeahh..im not good with decision making.. what do you want from me im a Libra dang it lol

Congrats on the book trailer. Your effort paid off it looks fantastic and really tells a story. I enjoy watching a book trailer, although it won’t impact on my decision to a read a book (a cover and blurb does this) but it doesn’t hurt to have a good trailer for your book. I like ones that tell a story a story as opposed to rehasing a cover with some words.
