The altered wordcount isn't an issue...but I've just discovered the geographical limitations rule me out (I'm UK based). Would I still be able to submit my novella directly to an editor (despite not now being able to enter the contest)? I notice the usual submission guidelines are for full length novels. I set aside my work on a full length novel to write the novella...! (BTW we dream of your temperatures here - high summer, rain, grey cloud and struggling to get above 15deg) I began my novella based on your earlier blog post and am almost there.
