Or, rather, it will be…when my paranormal romance NEVER CRY WOLF releases on June 28, 2011.
I’m very excited about my next Kensington Brava release. I love writing about wolf heroes. Wolf shifters are tough, smart, and very, very dangerous. With a wolf shifter, wildness lurks just beneath the surface. Control is an illusion.
What can I say? I think wolves are hot.
The very first book that I sold to Kensington Brava (HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT) featured a wolf shifter hero. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of writing about vampires, a dragon shifter, demons, and, yes, once even a guy that I considered a paranormal boogeyman. I’ve had a great time exploring paranormal characters (and I’ll continue exploring later in 2011 when the first book in my Fallen Angel series, ANGEL OF DARKNESS releases!).
For those of you who read IMMORTAL DANGER, the hero of NEVER CRY WOLF was a secondary character in that book. Lucas Simone was a wolf with a serious attitude in IMMORTAL DANGER. In NEVER CRY WOLF, the attitude is still there. This time, the pack alpha isn’t fighting to protect his brother; instead, he’s fighting to protect a woman with dark and very dangerous secrets. Secrets that others would kill to keep.
Since I’m chatting about shifters, I’d like to know…do you have a favorite shifter? Wolves and dragons are at the top of my list (followed closely by jaguars). Or, is there a shifter you’d prefer to never, *ever* read about in a book? Share!
Thanks for checking out my post!

My favorite shapeshifters are wolves, cats and dragons.
I wouldn’t really enjoy a snake shapeshifter…
Sarq, I’m not sure how I’d feel about the snakes either. I’m torn–b/c I sure do love those Anaconda movies.
My favorite shifter is the wolf also. I never, ever, ever want to read about someone who shifts into a giant spider or other insect.
Glad to hear you’re a wolf fan! And I’m with you–please, no spiders!
My favorite shape shifters are tigers, lions, wolves, and dragons. I would not want to read about any type of reptile shifter.
Hi, Tina! Love your shifter list!
I’ve never read a shifter story about dragons before. Most of the ones I have read were wolves, jaguars or panthers. I think I’m a traditional girl, I like wolves the best. Looking forward to yours!
Thank you, Stacie! And being traditional can be fun!
I love me some wolf shapeshifters but one of my favorites is your white tiger shapeshifter in your “Other” books…Oh my! Would that not be cool to see a person shift to a white tiger…I love me some wolves too though…and I agree totally with y’all…Insects…NOT SO MUCH…Give me the creeps!
Thank you, Kathy! I am glad you enjoyed my white tiger story. When I wrote that story, I visited the New Orleans zoo so I could study their white tigers. So beautiful!
Congrats on the upcoming book release.
We love the Anaconda movies in our family, too. Call the The Biggah Snake movies.
Thanks, Lexi! LOL, they are about Biggah snakes, aren’t they? The 2nd Anaconda movie was my favorite.
Paranormal is my favorite read. I love all shifters but have become quite fond of the Tiger shifters. Looking forward to Never Cry Wolf and your fallen angel series.

Thank you, Viki!! I’m having a fabulous time writing my fallen angel stories right now. The first book, Angel of Darkness, will feature a fallen angel hero and a vampire heroine.
My favorite shifters are wolves as number 1, dragons are number 2 (but that may only be because i’m reading G.A. Aiken’s series now) and number 3 would be lions.
Taylor, you are totally making me want to write a lion shifter story…
Um…
little nervous to admit…I’ve never read a shapshifting book…
Oh, wait. Not true. Juliana Stone. Jaguars. Yes, I like Jaguars.
And I used to have a wolf hybrid who was way more wolf than dog…I miss her dearly. Love wolves. I’m SURE I’ll love your shapeshifting wolf!
Congrats on another release. You make my head spin, girl.
Oh, Joan, the shame! But I guess I can forgive you. Once you go shifter, you totally won’t go back.
I love shifters and wolves awesome; I’m looking forward to your next release!
Cynthia I abolutely loved this book, and all of your series are very inriguing. the story lines are so well picked and the way your write makes me never want to put it down!
