Mia—I feel the same way about the ocean. I just absolutely love it, but we’re still about 7-8 hours away from it.

Crystal, I have some writing friends who live in Kentucky and one who is moving there really soon—Janice Maynard. Her first Desire just hit the shelves. An awesome lady. Hmmmm, I might just have to visit her

Hi Karen. I live in Kentucky. KY is famous for the KY derby and blue grass. We have beautiful mountains, and an amazing waterfall, Cumberland Falls.

Hi Karen! I love those big western states and have lived in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Washington. Still miss the mountains.

However now, we’re having some adventures in New England. I always say any day you can see the ocean is a day of vacation and we make it a point to see the Atlantic often. I also adore the sense of history and the very European feel Boston has with it’s hundreds of years of architecture and narrow cobbled streets.

But even though they build states small here in NE, it doesn’t mean you can get from here to there any quicker. Traffic is horrendous.

HI Judy! Rosemary Laurey has told me so much about Ohio that I want to go for a visit. That and England LOL

Lisa, we have very few trees where we live so hubby transplanted a bunch. Now everyone comments on how many we have in our yard. East Texas is tree thick. Lots of tall pines. Very serene. The Texas Coast is still my favorite area. Someday we’ll be able to move there.

Hi Virginia–I love how your name matches the state! We actually drove through Virginia and it was breathtaking!

Thanks, Martha! Just saying Mississippi Delta brings lazy summer days to mind.

Hi Karen!!

I love your books – they are wonderful. I live in the Mississippi Delta, home of Blues music! Very flat, and VERY hot. Lots of cotton, rice, corn and soybeans. Mississippi has lots of great culture. BTW, I live right beside the Mississippi River, I can’t imagine living anywhere else!

Hi Karen!

I have a cousin in Keller, TX and we’ve driven from Dallas to Conroe where her parents live many times. I can remember flat land and not many trees.

I live in GA and I love the variety. We have the ocean and the mountains and we get to experience the four seasons. Our winters are usually pretty mild and our summers are hot and humid but I can’t imagine living anywhere else!
