As far as I remember is has been, then also because of Paula Deen. I think she lives in or around Savannah as well. There's so much richness, history, great architecture, not to mention the people that I can completely understand why it plays a role in this series. Hot and Irresistible sounds like a great read and will be looking forward to the other sisters stories. Congrats on the new book!
