Hi, everyone!
I am very excited to say that, in just over a month (3/31/09), my next Kensington Brava paranormal romance, IMMORTAL DANGER, will hit store shelves!
Here’s the blurb for my tale:
BEING BULLET PROOF SUCKS—LITERALLY
Once, Maya Black was a kick-ass cop patrolling the streets of L.A. She still keeps the city safe, but nowadays her bad guys of choice include demons, werewolves, and assorted nocturnal scum. Something Maya knows a thing or two about. She’s a vampire—and not thrilled about it. Payback meet bitch.
Adam Brody hopes Maya is as dangerous as they say she is. He needs her to help rescue his niece Cammie from a ruthless band of vamps, and he’s willing to pay—in blood. Trusting her is another matter. Adam has never met a vampire who doesn’t lie. Then again, he’s never met anyone like Maya, who fills him with a desperate need that ignites into explosive, no-holds-barred encounters…
You can read an excerpt of my story here and if you’d like to view my trailer, well it’s right here.
And if you’d like to win an autographed copy of this book…just leave me a comment telling me the name of your all time favorite vampire book or movie. Simple, hmmm?
I’d also like to announce that I will be launching a very big contest on my blog tomorrow (to run in conjunction with the release of IMMORTAL DANGER). If you get a chance, definitely stop by www.cynthiaeden.com/blog tomorrow!
Thanks!

Believe in monsters. They believe in you.
Update: The winner of the contest will be chosen randomly from the commenters, and the winner’s name will be posted on Saturday. Sorry! Should have mentioned that sooner!

All time favorite vampire book or movie? I don’t know if I really have a favorite but I do so enjoy the Blade movies. Oh and I LOVE Underworld. Guess I don’t hav a favorite vampire book yet.
I don’t really have a favorite vampire movie, but my current favorite book is Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward (Rhage’s story). It’s one I can just pick up and reread anytime!
My favorite vampire books are he Dark Ones series by Katie Maclister. My favorite TV series go way back to Forever Knight. Good luck with the new book, it sounds great.
Fav vampire book? That’s a hard one – there have been so many. If I had to chose I would have to say Christine Feehan’s Dark series.
My favorite vampire book…well I mean its an oldie, but LJ Smith’s Night World book ‘Daughters of Darkness’. To this day, nearly a decade after purchasing it, I re-read it and swoon over Ash Redfern. The Night World is the sort of concept I adore after all.
My favorite vampire movie has to be the first one I ever saw–Interview With a Vampire. Assuming Sesame Street doesn’t count (The Count has fangs, you know…)
Favorite books would have to be The Dark-Hunter series and movie would be Lost Boys. Congrats on your release!
My favorite movie is Blade Trinity with Ryan Reynolds, and my keeper shelf is full of the early Anita Blake vampire series.
Brandy, I love those Underworld movies, too–and every time Blade comes on the Sci-Fi Channel, I get hooked.
Lisa, I haven’t read that one–another for my TBR list!
Hi, Mo! Thanks! Oh, Forever Knight. I was so sad when that got canceled.
Hey, Lisa! I’ve been addicted to those Carpathians for a while. I can so relate!
Wow, Lexie, that is high praise for a book!
Kristi, The Count was my first vamp guy.
Hi, Teresa! Oh, Sherrilyn’s books are sooo good! And those Lost Boys…I remember them well!
Cathy, that movie introduced me to Ryan Reynolds–and totally made me a fan.
I’m a big Dark Shadows fan, and I heard that Johnny Depp was going to play Barnabas in the movie version–I can’t wait for this film! I suspect it may become my vampire favorite.
Thanks for all the comments!
Maya sounds like a kick you know what vamp!
I will have to check your books out!
My favorite Vampire books (so far) are the Sookie Stackhouse Series from Charlaine Harris. I guess I will go with the first where Bill and Eric are introduced: Dead Until Dark.
I think that my favorite vampire movie has to be the first one that I saw…The Lost Boys. Although, Blade Trinity with Ryan Reynolds was very good. That man is gorgeous!! I cannot narrow my favorite vampire book down…there are so many. I really love Jeaniene Frost’s books.
I can hardly wait for Immortal Danger to be released!
My favorite movie is Blade Trinity. But if I could pick a TV serie it would be Moonlight. Alex O’Loughlin as Mick St. John was awesome.
Ooh, the Underworld series of movies, because I get both Vampire and Werewolves. And the hybrid aspect was interesting. As for books? The Sookie Stackhouse books are among my favorites, as well as Michele Bardsley’s Broken Heart series.
Congratulations on the upcoming release, Cynthia!
Favorite vampire? Impossible question! Um… favorite vampire? Rhage, from JR Ward’s BDB series. But books… I think I’d have to go with Kresley Cole’s IAD series as a whole. I’m indecisive.
Hi Cynthia,
I’m looking forward to the release of “Immortal Danger.” My favorite vampire movie is “Blade.” I love Colleen Gleason’s Gardella Vampire Chronicles.
i say the underworld kate is pretty and scott speedman is so fine
Hi Cynthia! Congrats on the upcoming release-you are having a very busy year!
Laurell K Hamilton’s Anita Blake novels were the first vampire stories that I really got into, so they will always be special to me. For something lighter I also really like Michele Bardsley’s Broken Heart series, and MaryJanice Davidson’s Queen Betsy series,I laugh my pants off at those books, LOVE them!
Hard to decide, one vamp I like a lot is Jeaniene Frost’s Bones.
Congratulations on the upcoming release. The book sounds fantastic.
hmmmm favorite vampire movie. Gotta be Van Helsing. That Dracula was just the coolest, sorta like a rock star Dracula. Plus, Hugh Jackman was in the movie.
I also liked the first Underworld and Interview With a Vampire. I have all 3 movies on DVD.
Favorite Vampire story would be Fantasy Lover,One of the Dark Hunter books. Vampire fiction is one of my top favorite book genre.
Jeannine Frost’s Grave series. Bones Rock. Also JR Ward’s brotherhood series. Whichever she writes about is fantastic.
