Do you remember the first Brava that you read?
I do. It’s still on my keeper shelf. My first Brava was an anthology, ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT. This was back in 2001, and this book introduced me to some fabulous authors like say…Shannon McKenna, Lori Foster, Thea Devine, and Suzanne Forster. Talk about a strong line-up of authors! This anthology blew me away, and, of course, I immediately had to go out and buy as many other stories by these ladies as I could.
Ah, my first Brava, but not my last.
But what was your first Brava? Do you remember it? Did you get hooked like I did?
Because I am still hooked on Bravas, and I’m still pretty stunned that I actually get to write Bravas now. Seriously, that just thrills me.
And speaking of writing my Bravas, I have another Brava release coming out in just over two months. IMMORTAL DANGER will hit the shelves of a bookstore near you on March 31, 2009. I made a book trailer for this one–I really enjoy making the trailers. I find it oddly soothing–and what does that say about me?
If you’d like to take a look, I have the trailer for IMMORTAL DANGER up on my site. (Sorry, I couldn’t get it to upload here!)
Have a wonderful week!

Yes. Oh yes. It was “I Love Bad Boys” with Lori Foster, Janelle Denison and Donna Kauffman. The Bad Boys Bravas are amongst my all-time faves, and I continue to look for them in stores. Just can’t get enough Brava.
I think… the first Brava I read was Bad Boys Online, by Erin McCarthy. After that, I was hooked. I read all the “Bad Boys” books I could get my hands on. And then walked around my library looking for the “B” imprint – which led me to Shannon McKenna’s delicious McCloud series – at that time only Conner’s book was out… and so many more wonderful authors. Brava books are still some of my favorites
Hi, Stacy! I sure do love those bad boys, too.
Limecello–I have Bad Boys Online on my keeper shelf. That book got me hooked on Erin’s funny contemps. I loved her voice. And Shannon McKenna…I have to re-read hers all the time. Such great stories!
Shannon McKenna . . . I inhale her books!!!
read taht too my first erotic antho, it was great. love those ladies
Hi Cynthia!
Shannon McKenna’s Hot Night was my first Brava….and I got hooked on her and on Bravas from then on! Hmm, I sense a theme here. Maybe Brava should pay Shannon a Finders fee or something,
I love Bad Boys was my first foray into Bravas, but not my last! *G* The next Brava I remember buying after that second, was Get a Clue by Jill Shalvis.
The Jingle Bell Rock anthology was my first Brava book.
I think my first Brava was one of Alison Kent’s books. I have so many books from the Brava line, I’m really not sure which one was my first Brava book.
Jill, I am so addicted to her books!
Kim–wasn’t that a great anthology?
LOL, Cheryl, I am definitely sensing a Shannon effect!
Hi, Brandy! I love those Bad Boys, and I think I may have every one of the Bad Boy anthologies on my shelves. I love the fast novellas because I can squeeze them in when I really need a good read.
Hey, Jane! Oh, I wish I’d though to re-read that one during the holidays. I was eager for more holiday reads–and how did I forget that one?!
Liza, it took me a while to remember my first one, too. Cause I sure have read some great Bravas!
Thanks for all the comments!
Hi Cynthia!
ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT was my first Brava too, lol! I still have it and recently re-read it. I’ve added dozens since then, but you are right that was a great line up and made me love Brava’s.
Hi, Cynthia! I think my first Brava was one of the Bad Boys anthologies, too–I still have quite a few of them
Congrats on your latest Brava!
Hi, Rhonda! That book was just all kinds of awesome, wasn’t it?
Hey, Fedora! Thank you for the congrats!
Hi Cynthia, hope you’re having a good week. Looks like I have the same first as many others here: those Bad Boys. Gosh they were good
and introduced me to new great authors so that I could spend more money on books (sometimes not so good). Brava is lucky to have you join their author list!
yes love it.
