Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween! To celebrate, I’m giving away winner’s choice of my Brava backlist. :) Just tell me your favorite costume that you saw this year. Since the day is young, I’ll leave this open until Monday morning, when I’ll decide a winner.

Hope you have a hauntingly good time tonight! As for me, I’m herding my monsters around the neighborhood to get their tricks and treats. Our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween (like some do for the holidays) so there are plenty of haunted houses, giant blow-up pumpkins/Frankensteins/ghosts, and dead people popping out of caskets. Fun, scary stuff!

Happy Halloween, Sylvia and everyone else! Hm… I haven’t seen many costumes yet – but thus far, my favorite was one I saw today. I *think* it was the director of the legal clinic – he was wearing a black robe [judges?] and this… crazy mask – a huge (and) monstrous octopus type creature, painted vivid green. :D

  2. Brandy Says:

I had the cutest spider this evening! He was adorable and could barely toddle around, but OH SO CUTE! *G*

Hope you have/had a Happy Halloween!

  3. Lori T. Says:

I saw a girl dressed as a bubble bath. It was very cute.

Although, I have to say that it waa tie between the cutest Spiderman in the world and the cutest Little Red Riding Hood…okay, so these were my grandbabies but they were way too cute.

    Happy Halloween!

  4. Allison Says:

It was a little girl in a chicken/hen outfit. She didn’t quite walk in a straight line, and listed to one side. It was like she was drunk chicken! But she had the most serious face. Too cute!

  5. Jane Says:

I like the Joker costume with the mask and the suit. It was a very popular costume choice this year.

  6. Sue A. Says:

I’m in Vancouver, so we can expect rain on Halloween night. A penguin with an umbrella is the cute kind and not of the Batman fame.

  7. Lois Says:

I didn’t see the trick or treaters that came to the door, but when I was watching Guiding Light during the day, I loved how they had one of the kid actors dress as an astronaut! :)

Lois, who really loves astronauts. ;)

  8. Pat L. Says:

I saw 2 little boys around 10 I guess dressed up as Misty May Trainer and her partner on the Today Show yesterday.

  9. Cheryl S. Says:

I saw the cutest little Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Lots of cute costumes out there last night.

  10. catslady Says:

It was a girl dressed as a clown but what made it unique is she had these brightly colored balloons that she carried with her – you couldn’t miss her lol. And she had the full face make-up too. Now if you want to know the worst – a kid had a steeler jacket on and considered that a costume tsk tsk.

  11. Teresa W. Says:

My girlfriend had her son dressed up as a mummy, she’s a nurse so all the gauze came in handy! He was very cute!

  12. Cathy M Says:

By far the cutest costume was a pirate suit worn by a two year old neighbor. It was handmade in velvet with real lace at the sleeves, with a pirate hat to match. Totally adorable. And when I asked what her costume was, she said she was a wady piwit, I just love that age.

  13. Estella Says:

I saw a little guy(maybe 2 years old) dressed as a mouse. He was so cute.

  14. catslady Says:

lol – wady piwit. I had two little kids say Merry Christmas instead of Trick or Treat. They were so young I think they knew they were suppose to say something but forgot when they got to the door.

  15. Fedora Says:

My favorite was a teacher at school who dressed as Old MacDonald, and her baby daughter was in the cutest little fluffy chick costume :) And my oldest refused to dress up at all–oh well!

  16. kh Says:

i liked my she ra costume. so cute and i felt so strong and cute in it lol

  17. Margay Says:

I think my favorite was a girl dressed up as a candy corn witch. The tights were fantastic – black and orange, horizontal stripes. The costume had a candy corn witch hat and the dress was black with an overlay skirt of yellow, orange and white, layered to look like candy corn.

  18. Cheryl McInnis Says:

My friend has 9 month old triplets and she dressed them as little yellow chicks ~adorable! They looked like Anne Geddes models.

  19. LadyVampire2u Says:

The best costume I saw this year was my friend’s daughter who dressed up like a gypsy. She even told my fortune in her little crystal ball.

  20. Liza Says:

My friends dressed up as Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife. I also saw a little boy dressed as Elvis, with the sideburns and everything.

  21. Brandy W Says:

The cutest little girl, probably 3, dressed up as Tinkerbell. She even had the light up wings.

  22. Cindi Says:

A little boy came dressed as the “Crocodile Hunter” and was carrying a big toy crocodile with him. We had 200 adorable trick or treaters. Thanks, Cindi

  23. Patricia Cochran Says:

The cutest had to be my three-year-old grandson Tristan
in his Spiderman costume. He was so happy and proud of
himself in that regalia! He posed in various Spidey
poses and “used his powers” to wrap me in webs!!! What
is a grandmother to do – I just admired him and gave him lots of kisses and hugs!!! And candy too!!

  24. Sylvia Day Says:

What great costumes you all saw this year! In our house, my daughter was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and my son was the creepy dude from the Scream movies. *g*

I confess, I’m terrible at picking winners. I always want everyone to win. So if y’all will bear with me until my kids get home from school, I’ll drop your names into a hat and let them pick one.

  25. Angie Says:

I saw a gorgeous little girl in a Raggedy Ann costume & she wasn’t even Raggedy! had the striped tights and all! very cute!!!!

  26. Sylvia Day Says:

LadyVampire2U — my son picked your answer as the winner. Email me your choice of my Brava backlist (you can see the books and find my email addy on my author page here on BravaAuthors.com ) and I’ll drop it in the mail to you right away!
