But my hubby was texting to my daughter on what he wanted and she made it for him in a slow cooker all day! Thats basically our tradition, a quiet nite at home and once a year corn beef! Only one is at home to celebrate, the other is stationed in Georgia, so I had a great time sending him all kinds of Irish goodies. And do you know how hard it is to find Irish fun stuff to surprise them with every year? I start my hunt at Christmas! Always have a big corned beef dinner with any family in the area, followed by their favorite chocolate cake and presents. Always a fun day.
