I’ll still a student, so I hardly get any holidays, sadly. We didn’t have classes on MLK Jr day – but the law school made us make them all up. However, I did get out of teaching elementary school kids Monday afternoon, so I had a late lunch/early dinner with a friend

Yes, yesterday was a day off for me, but then I had to work Sunday (not the norm) so it wasn’t a long weekend. I work for a credit union and we get the same days off as the Federal Reserve. It’s really nice.

I’m a SAHM who homeschools and I don’t give the day off to my kids. I’m just a big ‘ol meanie that way. *g* No day off for me, either. *g*

Its not a holiday for us. Today is just business as usual. I need to get a job in the government or our local school system. They are always off!!

I don’t work outside the house full time, but when it’s a national holiday like today, I feel like I can goof off and forget housework without feeling guilty. I can play online, read, take the kids to a movie – holidays are fun days at our house.
