So…what did you get?

I love Christmas. Love the wonder. The excitement. The whole hustle and bustle routine. And, of course, I love the presents.

I particularly like the small presents–the thoughtful ones that don’t cost much, but mean so much. Like a hand-painted card. Or fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. (Ahem, but those don’t tend to last long around me!)

Don’t get me wrong, though. I like the big presents, too. Right now, I’m absolutely thrilled because good old Santa brought me a new desk. (Yay! No more days sitting at the TV trays!).

But what about you? Today, I’d like to know…just what wonderful presents did you get this year? Big or small, please let me know what wonderful surprises you received this holiday season.

And, by the way, I received two wonderful pre-Christmas presents that I’d like to share with you–the covers for two of my upcoming Brava releases. Both of these covers are for anthologies, and I love ‘em!

The first cover is for WHEN HE WAS BAD (an anthology that includes a tale from Shelly Laurenston–and one of my paranormals, Wicked Ways):

Wicked Ways

The second cover is for EVERLASTING BAD BOYS, an anthology that includes Shelly Laurenston, Noelle Mack, and, well, me. This time, my contribution to the anthology is called Spellbound–it’s the tale of a witch and her very deadly protector.

Happy Holidays! Sounds like you had a great time yesterday.

I always ask for gift cards because if I really want something, unless it’s horribly expensive, I don’t wait to buy it. And I love gift cards, and appreciate that friends and family know that I treasure those LOL. My one indulgence for myself this year was a digital camera, with the hopes I’ll take more pictures.

I received a hutch to put my china in.

We don’t do a gift exchange with the adults - so Mom and I made up a parcel and sent it down to my kids and grandchildren (which would be her grandchildren and great granchildren). They were thrilled with everything, so that made us feel good. Other than that it was a very quiet time. Which is good.

I love your covers. They are really cool. So glad you had a good Christmas.

Hi, Stacy! Happy Holidays, to you, too! And, oh, yes, but I sure love those gift cards! I was lucky enough to get a card to use at Barnes and Nobles–I got it on Christmas Eve, and, since the store was open, I got to hold it in my hot hands for about…thirty minutes before it was used.

Hi, Estella! What a great gift!!

Cryna, it sounds like you and your mother “made” Christmas for the kids. There is nothing like a wonderful surprise that comes in the mail! And thank you very much for the compliments on the covers.

    Happy Holidays!

wow looking forward to those books myself. I got a me a new couch for my xmas present.

  6. Angie-la Says:

My just turned 16 year old son (aka Spawn 2) wrote a touching and heartfelt letter to me and his dad. It was the best gift I’ve received in a long time.

  7. Cynthia Eden Says:

Hi, Pamk! A new couch? That sounds like a pretty wonderful gift!

Oh, Angie-la, did your son make you cry? Because something like that would definitely have made me tear up.
