Let’s make this real easy today, huh? I’m suffering from a turkey coma. Oh, yeah, and the beginnings of a sore throat.
Don’t ask me why I’ve gotten a sore throat when I haven’t left the house in days. Maybe all that yakking on the phone with family yesterday? Or did those nasty germs find a way in to the house when I wasn’t looking?
So, let’s make this easy. Tell me what you’re doing today and you’ll be in a drawing for a free book from my backlist of available titles. I’ll draw a winner Sunday afternoon. Are you braving the crowds on Black Friday (you’re a braver soul than me if you are!)? Were you out there at 4am for the big sale at Kohl’s? Or are you curled up on the sofa with a good book? I wanna know.
UPDATE: And the winner is ArkansasCyndi!! Cyndi, send me me an email at jamie AT jamiedenton DOT net and I’ll get your prize in the mail to you ASAP.

I’m just reading and later will have leftovers!
I guess unlike most people out there, I love leftovers. . . it isn’t often we have turkey with all the trimmings so I enjoy it the day after too.

I’m not one for shopping on Black Friday. After I’m done with my normal blogging, I started late today, I’m going to finish reading my book and relax.
Hope you are feeling better soon!
No Black Fri Shopping for me.
I got out of work early today - hope to read, have leftovers and maybe have our friends over to watch a movie later on tonite.
I never leave the house on Black Friday. Today, I’m curling up with hot tea and a good book, nursing a sore throat that I hope doesn’t turn into something else.
I haven’t gone out and shopped Black Friday in years - right about the time stores started opening at 4am. I’m not the crazy about shopping to go out among the masses.
Today? I’ve had to hit the grocery store, struck out at the library (rare for me) and I just sat down after spending the last hour at the ironing board. I made bias tape for a celtic quilt I’m making. So the rest of my day is going to be spend creating celtic knots and maybe watching a couple movies - I have a Netflix back log.
We didn’t go Black Friday shopping this year so today is a relaxing day. We have already bought some presents but I still have a lot to go.
Hope you feel better! I did go out shopping this morning. Didn’t get the one thing I wanted though.
Now I’m just resting.
No crazy shopping for me. I can find almost everything on my list online, so that means today I can just curl up with a book and enjoy my turkey sandwich.
Not brave enough to fight the crowds. I try to do most of my shopping online for Christmas. I much prefer to stay home and enjoy a good book.
Hope you feel better soon. I am fighting sinus junk that came out of nowhere last night. Not fun around the holidays.
I spent most the day sleeping because we decided to head out last night because the outlets were opening at midnight. Apparently everybody had the same idea as us and we were stuck in traffic and there were lines to get into most stores. I will recover by watching tv or reading on the couch.
No shopping for me today! I work in a restaurant and we are catering food for the employees that work in our local Target stores. Deliveries are every couple of hours and I put in 10 hours at work today.
I don’t shop on Black Friday
I spent the day with my children. They took me to lunch to celebrate my 65th birthday.
I’m taking it easy. Catching up on things, And I’ll start reading a new book.
Updated my amazon wishlist, in case of my friends were shopping on black Friday
Made pizza. Going to work on my nano project tonight
I went out shopping this morning very eary.Hope you feel better.
I woke up at 4, but hung around in bed until about 5:30. Husband wanted to do the “Black Friday” sales this year (I took him last year and he had fun…even if he won’t admit it)
By seven, we were in the car on the way to Shoe Carnival, Belks, JCPennys, and Sears We got the majority of shopping done for his side of the family. Mine? I have NO IDEA what I’m buying. ARGH!!!
I know it’s strange but this is the third year I’m hit the Black Friday sales. It seems to get me in the Christmas spirit.
Spent the afternoon watching the Arkansas-LSU game (AR-50 LSU 48) What a game. Back to editing tonight.
My dh went shopping online for Black Friday.. does that count?
We’re actually not in the States this year so no Black Friday for us. Did seem weird.
i slept in, but will go shopping saturday. happy thanksgiving to all
I pondered a Christmas card design. I haven’t done any crafts for so long, I’m itching to make something. At least this is the right time of the year for such a hankering.
NOT SHOPPING!!!!! I’m actually at the National Clogging Convention at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tn. We are having a blast, but this place is huge (yep, we’ve even been lost a couple of times trying to get to our rooms)! Still have another day of workshops and then we head home tomorrow..
The germs get into the house one way or another. I also get sore throats or colds when I haven’t been out for some time; go figure. Take care.
Our Thanksgiving(in Canada) is past but I also love leftovers. Our family is into the turkey bun/dressing/cranberry sauce bit shortly after the dinner. LOL. Love it.
I so did not shop on Black Friday! No way was I walking up at 3 am for that. Plus being around so much people makes me really uncomfortable, I really can’t stand it so I just stayed home, sleeping and reading.
I was at my brother’s house visiting with family including 5 wild and loud nephews and nieces all under the age of 9. It was fun though…spent more time with my siblings than I have in a while. I also went with my sis to Target in the evening hunting down a present for her girls…it wasn’t that bad late in the day.
I spent TDay with middle son and family, and yesterday in my jammies at home - napping, reading, eating leftovers, napping, etc.
No shopping for me - I did that once and that was enough
It’s just a regular day for me - a little (and I mean little) cleaning, reading my emails and blogs and finishing up with my favorite - reading!
I did brave the crowds but not until 11:00 AM. Still managed to pick up a couple of nice gifts for my kids while escaping the worse of the frenzy.
I don’t go near the stores the day after Thanksgiving any more. Sent my hubby out instead. He got a great deal on a GPS. He had to hit three stores though before he could get his hands on one - all sold out.
BTW - I read REMAIN SILENT last week and it was fabulous Jamie!! Run out and get a copy if you don’t have one yet! I highly recommend it!

WOW!! Thanks Jamie! Sending you an email tonight.
