I picked up a few books at Barnes & Noble over the weekend. These will go on my deadline-is-over-celebration stack for after I turn in the next book on September 15th. My book buying choices were:
*The Royal Mess by MaryJanice Davidson - this one is the last in her Alaskan royalty series. These books are laugh-out-loud funny. Needless to say, I can’t wait to dig in. I would, however, like a blood oath from Ms. Davidson promising to write more of these.
*Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer - I guess this isn’t part of a series. It’s more of a “next joint book” by these two authors. Doesn’t matter. I got it, despite the hardcover price, and am ready to read.
*Obsession, Deceit And Really Dark Chocolate by Kyra Davis - I adored heroine Sophie Katz from the very beginning of this series. If she doesn’t end up with Russian cutie pie Anatoly in this book, I may have a hissy fit. You’ve all been warned.
What about you guys - are there any follow-up books you’re waiting on right now…other than J.R. Ward’s Lover Unbound (because most of us are waiting for that one and it’s too obvious)? Give me your suggestions and I’ll pick one of you to win a copy of MaryJanice Davidson’s A Royal Mess on me.

I love MaryJanice Davidson, and really got a kick out of this series. Other than JR Ward’s book, there’s always the next Brockmann I impatiently await for, Cam’s story by Lisa Kleypas (can’t remember the name of the book right now), Jill Shalvis’ “Strong & Sexy” and “Superb & Sexy” (Brody’s story!), Erin McCarthy’s next story in her Immortal series, Nalini Singh’s release after “Caress of Ice”….I could go on and on and on…
I am looking forward to Julia London’s The Danger of Deceiving a Viscount.
Jill Shalvis’ “Superb & Sexy”, Donna Kauffman’s “The Black Sheep & The Hidden Beauty” & Deirdre Martin’s “Just A Taste”.
Caine’s Reckoning by Sarah McCarty is on my list.
My memory’s not really working right now, but yep, the new Lisa Kleypas one is one. . . I finally got the last member of the Boscastle series of Jillian Hunter’s today. . . they didn’t have Eve Silver’s latest gothic romance at either bookstore I went to today
Hmm. . . that’s all I can think of right now. Pooh. LOL

I’m really looking forward to Anne Stuart’s next book, Ice Storm.
The Royal Mess sounds great in that it has humor which I need right about now.
I am looking forward to any Christmas stories coming out; love the season and what it has to offer.

I am waiting on Agnes and the Hitman, right now. Literally! I’m up next on the wait list….waht can I say? It’s a small library and they only get one copy of when they order new releases. I donate my popular authors to them when I am through…just dropped off several MJD’s last week!

For me it’s Rough Canvas by Joey Hill. I think it is the sixth in the series.

I am looking forward to FACE TIME by Hank Phillip Ryan. I loved the last book in the Harry Potter series! Also, anything by Janet Evanovich, Jennifer Crusie, Vicki Lewis Thommpson, and many more authors to numerous to mention, I can’t wait for their next books to come out. I love to read!
Deirdre Martin’s Just a Taste. Am looking forward to a new series by Sherryl Woods - Mending Fences and now that I have read Leslie Kelly’s Overexposed, must get all the books before it about the other siblings and there is an anthol coming out too about that series including Gloria’s story.
