Down here in the South, we’ve been having daily temperatures topping out in the triple digits. Just walking to the mailbox makes me breakout into a sweat. Oh, jeez, but I am so ready for fall to arrive!
I LOVE fall–it’s my absolute favorite time of the year. The weather is just right, the leaves are gorgeous, and I get to gear up for one of my most anticipated holidays–Halloween. (I write paranormals–come on, didn’t you see that one coming?) I went to a local crafts store a few days ago, and they already had their ghostly decorations placed on at least six aisles. I discovered the same situation at a nearby Walgreen’s. The summer heat is beating down–full force–and the pumpkins are already out. Yep, it’s a bit early (perhaps way more than a bit), but I do so enjoy seeing these decorations, and they just make me long for fall all the more. Sigh.
So what about you? Do you have a favorite time of the year? Or a holiday that you love planning for long in advance?

Oooh, FALL! I love Fall, with that hint of crispness in the air at night and the smell of burning leaves. I love Halloween as the best part of Fall. When we can sit out and hand out candy to all the adorable little ones, not to mention carving pumpkins! Oops, didn’t mean to babble, but since I live in the South too, well, right now Fall is a HAPPY thought to survive till. *g*
LOL, Brandy–Fall is definitely a happy thought–and imagining those cool days really does make surviving this hellish heat easier.
I like the fall better. It has been so hot here this summer that it has been crazy. We just about broke the record set in 1936 for the month of July for heat. But I like when the nights are cooler and the days have sun and are warm. I am not for winter too much because we had just way to much snow last winter, I was sick of shovelling………
I love fall too. The crisp air engergizes me. But my favorite time is spring when everything turns green and the days get longer.
I love spring - when everything is new and fresh and the flowers are budding. Not the ideal time for those with allergies, bur fortunately I don’t have them.
I like fall, but now that it’s close, I can’t help but feel a bit depressed because winter will be here soon after. Spring just makes me so much happier.
Ah, more fall fans!
Although, Stacy, spring is my second favorite season–I love to see those flowers bloom, too!
I saw Fall decorations in Rite Aid today!
I LOVE FALL TOO!! Today the temperture was in in the 60’s and it felt SO nice. I love the cool crispness in the air too. I love apple picking, pumpkin picking, hayrides, long drives with the windows rolled down, and wearing fuzzy sweaters. Love Fall!
