What really brings out the inner fangal in me is after reading an author's book, I go out and purchased their entire backlist, especially if it's a series and then I become their loyal fan. But I tend to be dumb-struck by just about any Big Name Author. I saw Judith McNaught this year at RWA and all I could think was "OMG! I was lucky enough to meet her a few years back, and was so nervous because I love her writing so much, but she was genuinely the nicest person. It can't be easy, at least I wouldn't think so, but she seemed very comfortable to talk with fans and laugh and collect troop donations - that's another reason I admire her: her unfailing and passionate support of the troops, as well as some other causes.
