Hi, everyone!
I wanted to be a published romance author for a really loooong time! Like nine years long. It was one of the thing I wanted to do before I died and the way things were going there for a while I thought the died part would win.  But then Harlequin American picked up Court-Appointed Marriage (their title not mine!) and I was off and running and then got picked up by Kate Duffy at Kensington. Thank, Kate!

‘Course there are other things on my ‘before I die” list like having kids, riding a motorcycle, having a horse and visiting the Gallipolis Islands. I did the kid thing four times over which is probably why I never got around to doing the other things. I’m still holding out for the Gallipolis.

So, my question to you all is… What is on your list of things to do before you die? Have any come true? Any in the works? I love knowing what others are dreaming about, makes me feel like I can get there too. That’s what happened with getting published. I found others with the same dream like Rosemary Laurey and Lori Foster and we did it!

Anyone up for the Gallipolis??

I’d love to go to the Gallipolis. I have a long list of things I’d like to do before I die. I’m just getting serious about it because to be honest it seems like I’ve got a long time ahead of me.

On my list in no particular order are:
get a tattoo, sky dive, drive a motorcycle, drive a Lamborgini, go to Paris, cook in Italy (I want to do one of those tours).

    That’s it for now!

Things to do before I die? Hmmm, I’d have to say visit Loch Ness, (visit Scotland and Ireland), get my Bachelors degree, become a better reviewer, see my children through college and marriage and children of their own. Wow, that’s alot!

Oh, Kathy, that does sound like fun! I’d like to be able to afford one.

    *hot air ballon
if I wasn’t so afraid of heights I’d be there. They are so pretty and quiet.

*marriage and children of their own
Ha! The way my kids are going I’ll never have grandkids. I’ve even resorted to bribes. My daughter’s cry is… It takes a heck of a man to replace no man! I think I’m doomed. That attitude never gets hitched.

    Hi Dianne,

I love what you wrote about in your blog today! Yes, I to have had plans to do before I die. A lot of them have come true. I wanted to work for a theater so I went and volunteered at the local one in my town. I helped out for two years then my mom took ill so my life got rearranged for a while.

Another plan I had for a long time was being a reviewer or an editor. Well, I got my wish just 4 months ago. I am now a reviewer/editor for the romance junkies website. I absolutely love reading! (Especially your books! ) I was lucky a while back and won an autographed book from you which I treasure!

One of the best things I dreamed was marrying an Italian! My husband is, guess what? An Italian! He is a fantastic husband. I love him dearly.

I have had other dreams come true but the ones I mentioned above are my favorite ones.

Oh, Michele, I love reading your post. You make me smile and not just because you like my books!
Your energy is what makes your dreams come true. Best of luck with the new reviewing gig. I love RJ. What a great group. I know you’ll have fun and do a wonderful job.
As for the Italian… my name is Castelluccio (Castell for the writing world). Gotta love those Italians!
    Hugs, Dianne

  7. Patty L. Says:

I have a ton of things that I want to do before I die. The biggest right now is to have a book published. I have the two kids and a wonderful husband so that can be crossed off. I would love to go on a loonnnggg vacation to Italy, take a tour of the entire countryside. I would also love to own a Porshe. That may never happen, you know $. My life is good and there are plenty of things that I would love to do, but if it all ended tomorrow I would have no regrets, except seeing my kids grow up.

  8. Dianne Castell Says:

Hey, Patty, I know the want to get published feeling! :-)
It will happen, just hang in there.
If I can do anything to help just let me know.
Sounds like life is pretty good right now.
    Enjoy the moment.
    Hugs, Dianne

  9. Susan Says:

I became a quadriplegic when I was 16 after a car accident, so I would love to walk again before I die. To be honest I’d be happy just to use my hands again. It would be extra special if that didn’t require therapy though!

  10. Dianne Castell Says:

Oh, Susan, I wish that for you too and I’m so sorry for your accident. That you are online and have such a terrific attitude is a blessing and inspiration to all of us. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. With all the advances they are making in science the chances of your dream coming true are very very possible. Keep me posted how you’re doing.
