Morning!
I always feel like that character who runs around like a chicken with its head cut off (I grew up on a farm) and says “I’m late, I’m late!”
Karl and I are escaping tomorrow! Our first time to go anywhere in a
l-o-n-g time. We are both so ready to get out of Dodge! Not that we live in Dodge. But if we did, we are so ready to get out.
Since we’re running away, I didn’t want to start another book. This weekend–no laptop. Maybe a notebook just in case. I hate to lose ideas. Speaking of which, Karl came up with the cutest title—which I won’t share because it’s really, really good, and from that I got a story idea. I couldn’t resist and started writing chapter one. Which is okay because I’ll still put it away to send in prior to my next contract.
Are y’all going to the Romantic Times convention next month. Yea, it’s in Houston! Boo, it’s still 9-10 hours away so I’m flying. I love RT, though. And it’s great seeing old friends. And they are so much older than me. I wonder why they’re getting older and I’m staying the same.
Did I mention I’m rooming with Dianne Castell? Have any of y’all met her? I think she forgets to add water to her coffee. No, it’s the truth! She’s like a little bee on speed. I figure rooming with her I should lose at least 10-15 pounds. Don’t tell her I’m over here talking about her. Shhhhh…..
Have y’all checked out the Brava contest on the message boards? That’s how I got my start at Brava. Now I work full-time writing. Cool.
Okay, I’m going to get caught up on some things then go get my hair cut. You have my permission (like that’s worth anything) to have fun today!
