It’s all about the prezzies!

Well, it’s the big V Day! And as romance readers and writers this is our day too! We get to celebrate romance, falling in love and staying in love. It takes hard work to do that last part. No relationship in or out of books survives without nurturing and constant attention.
We’ve all given lots of prezzies over the years to underline how much we truly care. In books the hero brings flowers, the heroine bakes or wears sexy lingerie or wears the lingerie while baking. In one of my books the heroine gave the hero land to build a runway so he’d fly back to see her. In another the hero gave the heroine a gun to keep her sleazy ex at bay.
So the question today is… What do you think was the best present you gave the hero in your life? Or what was the best present from your favorite book?

Have a fun day. Hugs and valentines, Dianne

Happy Valentine’s Day! My favorite present that I ever gave my husband was a hand written letter. I wrote to him as if I was never going to see him again and wanted him to know how much he meant to me. The letter brought tears to his eyes and since that day our love has grown even stronger. I have to tell you the book that I just finished reading was Natural Born Charmer by SEP. I don’t want to give the ending away, but the gift that Blue made for Dean at the end of the book had me smiling into the late night. I love a happy ending.

Oh, Patty, what a great present to give your husband. We should all probably do something like that. And the SEP book sounds terrific. I love her stuff.

Hi Dianne! I’m finally getting to visit over here :)
I know Valentines is over but you know, even after 23 years we don’t do something special on Valentines Day. I remember years ago where we did but then we also did during other days of the year so we said it was always Valentines Day here. Some may think, yeah, right, but it really is. I got a great hero here. Hope yours was wonderful!

  6. Dianne Castell Says:

Oh, Cathie, I love the idea of it always being Valentine’s Day. Sounds like you have a great relationship. 23 years is a lot to be proud of.
    Congrats!
I gave my dh some new aftershave as his present stuff smells like “old man.” He’s much better now. Yummm!

Dianne, it is! I remember a couple of weeks ago, he brought home a bottle of wine, and I rarely drink except if I ever see this wine called Yago. So he pours us each a glass and we just cuddle up relaxing on the couch watching movies he recorded :) So Yeah I still remember all the ‘walentine days’ from recent weeks :)

Hey but he can use some aftershave here too. There’s one I love when he uses, so you gave me an idea for the next time I go out and sneak something in for him. I know this is nuts, but last time it was a sponge bob t-shirt, LOL. He always quotes stuff from Sponge Bob and watches a show here and there with my teenage son and I was with a friend who picked me up for an appt and stopped in the mall for the bookstore and I saw a T-shirt store and saw it was so him! LOL. He laughed and my son and him still tease about the shirt. Its on him often, LOL.

You have a great weekend! I’m here in the deep snow we had and just gonna read and relax today! It was great chatting with you! Always!
    Cathie

Great chatting with you too.
Your dh sounds wonderful. I love Sponge Bob. Lots of wisdom there.
We’re buried in ice in Cincy but Tues brings 40 degree weather. I’m totally jazzed.
    Stay warm.
    Hugs, Dianne
