Did you finish All Through the Night? What did you think?
I admit, some of the heroes surprised me. Balls-to-the-wall committed to getting their girl, no matter what. *g* One of the great things about multi-author anthologies is the variations in styles. I really enjoyed the dynamic of these four authors together in one volume.

Book Club #3 will be a historical, a new one by Katherine O’Neal — THE ART OF SEDUCTION (Feb. 07 Brava). As is the usual, one of this week’s participants will receive a free copy of the Book Club Selection.
What should we read next? An older title, since next club is a new release.
And if you haven’t yet, you can sign up to be notified when a Book Club post goes up, by filling out the form below.
So, let’s hear what y’all thought of this latest selection!

[...] Hey, today we’ll be Book Clubbing it over at the Brava Authors blog. Talking about our last selection, All Through the Night and gearing up for our next selection, Art of Seduction. [...]
I didn’t get a chance to read the last book and don’t have the new selection yet. I don’t have the money to go out this week and get the new book, so I will have to wait until you make your next selection from any older Brava and hope that I have it.
I did read all four stories in this book. Although each Author has their own strengths, I would have to opt out for the favourite line and scene for me came from:
Satisfy Me by Lori Foster and it was the scene when
Asia and Cameron are in the closet
He dropped his head forward and she felt his uneven breaths pelting her cheek. He gave short, low laugh, roughened by his arousal. “You make me feel like a schoolboy again.”
Her heart in her throat, panting and trembling, Asia managed to say, “Made out in a lot of closets, did you?” “Hmm?” His head lifted, his eyes burning on her face, still eager, still intent.
She swallowed back a groan. “In school”.
“Oh.” He smiled, looked at her mouth and kissed her a gain, a brief, teasing kiss to her bottom lip, “No. No, I didn’t. But I did walk around with a perpetual hard-on, and damn if that isn’t what you do to me.”
Was there a proper reply a lady made to such a comment? If so, Asia had no idea what it might be.
Not sure about the next selected book, as I don’t have the book in my TBR pile. Hopefully the next book selected will be one I already have. Hope everyone has a great day.
I enjoyed this anthology. Each story was unique and interesting. There was definitely variety when it came to characters and storylines…several fantasy reads…the kind that probably wouldn’t happen in real life, but reading about them is fun.
Fave Line: from “Something Wild” by Shannon McKenna
“But I thought that’s how anonymous trysts with strange me were supposed to go!” she wailed. “According to the script you should’ve been gone before I even woke up. Just a…bittersweet memory, like Zorro or something. Maybe a rose on my pillow, at most (295).” This line made me laugh because she sounds so upset that he didn’t go.
Fave scene: The one that the line above came from (pp 292-295). Annie has just awakened after her first night with Jacob, the man on the motorcycle, and expected him to be gone. She didn’t want a relationship with strings and has just realized that he isn’t going anywhere. I love the banter between the two…they make me chuckle even when they are arguing.
I don’t have THE ART OF SEDUCTION yet, but will try to get it. As for the next book, it doesn’t matter to me. How about The Ultimate Romantic Challenge by Katherine Garbera or The Real Deal by Lucy Monroe? Or some other contemporary book? We seem to be following a pattern (contemp, anthology, historical, etc.) and it seems like a good time for another contemporary? I am open to anything though!
The favourite line and scene comes from :
Something Wild by Shannon McKenna
“No! Jacob, damn it!”
She was clawing at his wrist, wriggling on top of his raging hard-on. He forced himself to focus on her words. “What?”
“Have you gone nuts? We’re in the parking lot of a family restaurant!” She said furiously.
He glanced out the window dazed. “Oh I forgot,” he muttered.
“Forgot! Hah! I do not want the worthy citizens of Bernhard, Arkansas, to actively participate in my sex life, so get your greedy paws off me, you sex-crazed maniac!” She seized his wrist with both hands and yanked it out of her jeans, glaring at him as she buttoned them up.
I laughed hard over this, I think it was the “worthy citizens”. I also think an older book would be good for the next time. Something by Karen Kelley or Lucy Monroe.
Historicals have always been my favorite genre! I don’t care what the publishers have to say about it lol.
Favorite scene and lines (Something Wild from Shannon McKenna):
I like my hero’s strong, but I admit to enjoying seeing a guy brought down a few pegs.
His voice was urgent. “I only acted like a lunatic because I’m madly in love with you, and you made me chase you all over hell’s half acre. Promise to marry me, and I swear to God I’ll calm right down.”
“Marry you?” she repeated stupidly.
Jacob’s face tightened in dismay. “Don’t tell me I’m scaring you away again. I’m so tired of chasing you, Annie. You’re wearing me out.”
Agh! My copy of the book arrived in the mail today and I haven’t had time to read yet. The rate I’m going I’ll just be adding to my TBR mountain and not making a dent in it!
How about a paranormal? Something like one of Kathy Love’s vamp series?
Oh that book sounds good. This book club will kill my tbb list. LOL
I enjoyed all four novellas because it gave me a chance to read other authors. Lori Foster’s was the best.
