Does anyone do the after Christmas Shopping or are they burned out? I have to admit that I usually sneak in a little. Last year I got this great tree skirt for $6.00 at Wal*Mart and the regular price was $30.00. And a really nice stocking for around $2.00. I picked up some nice ornaments at Kohl’s for a couple of dollars, too. These were the ones that cost around $12.
I’m sending the hubby to buy groceries today. I figure if I have to cook it then he can do the hunting. LOL Actually, I have a fantastic husband who doesn’t mind shopping. Have I trained him right or what??? LOL He’s definitely a keeper.
He’s doing my flyers today for my April release, Close Encounters of the Sexy Kind. This will be the first book in my alien series. They’re sexy romantic comedies. Very sexy actually. Okay, they’re really, really sexy. But they’re funny, too. And sexy. This is a link to Amazon if you want to check it out. I’m tech challenged so it actually might or might not be a link. http://www.amazon.com/Close-Encounters-Sexy-Karen-Kelley/dp/0758211724/sr=1-7/qid=1166714422/ref=sr_1_7/105-9362181-0027611?ie=UTF8&s=books
Are y’all ready for Christmas? (Yes, I live in Texas so I can get away with saying y’all, yes we have lots of cowboys and ranches). I finally finished all my shopping. I try to keep everything even. I’ve seen way too much favoritism in my life and I don’t like it. Actually, it really sucks if you’re not the favorite. But I do end up spending way too much because I’ll see something I really want to buy for one–which I do, so then I have to increase the others–a vicious circle LOL You can’t see the tree for the presents. I love it!
Okay, I’m on deadline so better get busy. I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday and a very prosperous New Year!

I used to go out on December 26th, which is our Boxing Day (This is like your big shopping day right after Thanksgiving) for the specials, and battle the crowds but now, I just can’t seem to find the energy.
Looking so forward to your new release that comes out in April……..Hope you have a Merry Christmas.
The older I get the less enthused I am about shopping in crowds. I didn’t even do black Friday this year. Unheard of for me.
I think shopping is my middle name.
I usually stay home, but my Dh has the week off and I may need to get out of the house just to have some peace and quiet!
For most of our married life, Karl and I have worked together–both medics on the ambulance etc so I’m pretty used to having him around and he’s loads of help. I don’t know what I’d do without him.
This is an “ahhhhhhhhhhh” moment
I usually don’t do any of the after Christmas shopping. I can’t stand the crowds. However, I am not to proud to encourage my sis-in-laws to go and pick me up a few things.
Happy Holidays!
You could not get me near a store until a week after Christmas!
happy holidays
Estella, funny!
I survived grocery shopping–I didn’t trust Karl to go alone but we cheated and went to the store in our little town so there were no crowds. Karl did remind me that I always buy too much. It didn’t do him any good but he did remind me

Yes, the gifts are all bought. I have to buy some ingredients to make a cheesecake.
