Here are some of the signs that I’m a bookaholic…
1) I can’t walk out of a bookstore without buying a book. I don’t even think that’s possible. Doesn’t everybody buy books?
2) I look forward to being sick so I can read and read with no guilt!
3) My husband worries about me when I’m NOT reading a book.
4) I FORGET about the chocolate cake (chocolate anything) while reading.
5) I get nervous if I don’t have a book to read.
6) I hate having to pick only a few books. What about the books I didn’t buy? What if they are fantastic and I’m missing out?
7) My kids figured out to ask me stuff while I was reading (or writing) becasue I might say yes to anything just to keep reading.
Book store owners know me by name.
9) Relatives and friends assume I’ve read all the latest books and ask my opinion.
10) When I get books in the mail, it’s like Christmas Morning!

I new I was a bookaholic early on. Very early! My parents would ground me in high school by taking away my books. Not having anything to read was awful!!
Well, lets see before I got married 5 years ago I didn’t have a book to my name. Then my mother-in-law introduced me to romance books. I now own over 500 (could be over 600) romance books. Yes, I believe I am a bookaholic. I am reading all the time, I am forever looking for more books. I have a TBR list of books now that is so long its not funny but what do I do….buy more books.
Theresa, that’s pretty funny!
TammyG, how cool that your mother-in-law introduced you to romances!
My librarians know me by name. I was going to the library about 3-4 times a week to replentish my books. It’s really slowed down lately due to work… So, my personal collection of books have actually been getting read.
Oh yeah, I know I am a bookaholic big time. I have to always check out the books no matter whether I am looking for one in particular or not, this could be at the grocery store, Walmart or wherever, you never know when you might see one that you just have to read……
The other thing that confirms if for me is that even though I have a ton of books to read I keep adding and adding to them, I literally have boxes of unread books……..so addict I am……..
I know I am a book addict brcause my TBR pile is at least 10 ft tall and I read about a booka a day.
I know I’m addicted to books because I go crazy if I’m not currently reading a book. Right now I have 10 books on my shelf to read, 7 books on reserve at the library, 4 books coming from Amazon. the B&N manager knows the types of books I like and I counted that I’ve read at least 200 books during this year.
You know you are a bookaholic if when you turn 16 the librarian asks if you want a job there.
I’m a bookaholic and proud of it lol. I need to live a couple of lifetimes to read my current tbr pile and I keep buying more and for the life of me I DON’T WANT TO GIVE ANY AWAY. I love being surrounded by them.
I am a bookaholic and proud of it.
reading blogs, entering contest, go to every authors website and read ing all day
One major sign that I am a bookaholic is that I go nowhere without a book. I’m waiting on my train, I am reading a book, I wait that my class begins, I am reading a book, I got a doc appointment, I am reading etc.
Other signs are:
My room is full of books
I get nervous when I don’t have enough books in my tbr pile, I guess that why I have a TBR mountain range. LOL
