Are you a Halloweener?

Holy cow, it’s Halloween and I am sooooo ready! In full Halloween mode!

Got the pumpkin lights hanging in the trees, the luminaries on the walk, my pumpkin costume hanging and Fabreezed for yet another appearance at the door for the kiddies.
The signs are up that say This Way To Candy. Black cat in the window. (okay, she was not part of the decoration plan but jumped into my cart at Krogers. And here I thought I was shopping for boxes of Milk Duds. Cats have a way of surprising you like that.) Popcorn balls on the table, jack-o-lanterns on the porch. Yeah, I’m there. And, since I’m getting into ghosty thing in my writing…Southern Generals keep popping in…I’m having even more fun at this Halloween stuff.

I even found a fun Halloween link…Why Halloween is Better Than Sex!

So my question to you all is… Are you into this Halloween thing or not?
Are you a Halloweener?
What do you do? Jump into Halloween with both feet or hide, forget it’s Halloween and when the kiddies ring the bell be forced to treat with cans of soup, tuna, a framed picture of your mother-in-law, the blender?

Happy Halloween, Bravateers!
Hugs, Dianne

Wow, Dianne, I’m coming over to your house!

I used to be more into Halloween, and I love decorating. My employer won’t let us decorate anymore - bunch of Scrooges (oh wait, that’s Christmas). But we did get lots of Halloween candy and I’m judging a costume contest. The weather is just creepy enough today to set the mood. Bwaahahahhahahaha.

  2. Dianne Castell Says:

Yep, we got a great Halloween day here too… cool, lots of leaves, I think the moon’s pretty full tonight.
We’re all gonna have fun, Dianne

  3. Callen Says:

Oh yeah, I’m a Halloweener. It is my favorite time of the year. bwahahahahahaha

  4. Dianne Castell Says:

Hey, Callen, me too. All the fun and not so much fuss as other holidays. And…the time of year is beautiful.

  5. Kimberly H Says:

I am a Halloweener- I love dressing up in costumes and being something different for the night. I also go a little over board with the decorations…I had a Halloween party this past weekend and we had spiderwebs, different colored lights, halloween wall decorations, halloween music and the guys favorite-dry ice mixed with water=for our very own fog machine.:)
Another thing I like about Halloween…The CANDY! One for the treak-or-treaters, one for me, one for them, one for me…

  6. Cryna Says:

The days of my Halloweening are over, I am going to take a book, retire to my room with a warm drink and read. Last year I had so few trick or treaters that it wasn’t worth it. So this year I am being bad and reading the night away………..LOL

  7. kim h Says:

no more just eat candy myself and si t at home.

  8. Michele L. Says:

Well, I used to be when I worked full-time. I used to dress up. Our company had a halloween party with prizes. We would decorate our cubicles and set out candy for everyone. There would be candy overflowing everywhere!

Now, just our neighbor’s kids just come over to our house and that’s all we have in our neighborhood. I always make sure I have plenty of candy for them. I do decorate our house for them.

Gosh, can I come over to your house? It sounds like a great time!

  9. Estella Says:

    Happy Halloween everyone!
I live in the country and we never get trick or treaters.

  10. Dianne Castell Says:

Love the Halloween parties! Everyone gets into the fun and the costumes are wonderful. And the food… floating eyeballs in red punch, ghostly hands holding cakes, fog floating everywhere.
And decorations… My brother (the rich side of the family) has a professional do his front lawn. Tied up traffic for blocks. He gave away over a thousand candy bars. What a night… The police weren’t too happy but everyone else was.

  11. Kathleen Says:

I enjoy all Holidays! Sadly, not many kids come on the street that I live…so I make sure that I like the candy that I give out since I have to keep most of it :)

  12. Pat L. Says:

I AM NOT REALLY INTO HALLOWEEN. WE HAD 3 KIDS COME AND THEY WERE ALL IN ONE GROUP. I TRY TO ONLY BUY ONE BAG OF CANDY THAT I LIKE, SO I WON’T BE TEMPTED TO EAT WHAT IS LEFT.

  13. Dianne Castell Says:

We only had about forty Halloweeners. Used to be 150 when we all had little kiddies around here. I miss those days. Hope you all had a great day!
